I have enjoyed making this series of cartoon paintings which they bring to my life more meaning, fun and joy! However I was quite unhappy today because it seems these works are not able to fetch a good price in the market... People around me keep asking me to lower my prices, eventually I think I would rather use these artworks as gifts for my relatives and close friends, than to sell them at cheap prices...

Note: If I sell them at low prices, I wonder – if I might cry eventually!!! :-( I had spent a lot of time and put in a lot of love in making them... Deep down I really think they worth much more...

Caricatures 06 & 07

Doing caricature is not easy nor difficult. So far I only know five different formulas to work on it. As you can see, I did the Hong Kong actor - Chow Yun Fat's caricature quite easily and successfully. However, when come to Robert Pattinson, I do not know why somehow along the way, I felt hard to do it, as if I do not know which formula can apply on his face... Ha! Ha! So, in the end I only did what I could do and knew... That's all! :-)

Note: Cartoon drawing helps me relax my mind and bring joy to my life!

I like to watch the actress - Milla Johovich's movies filmed years ago, as she can act and fight well. Besides, she is beautiful and attractive as well!

Recently I have been spending a lot of time creating cartoon images, and also trying to do some of my favourite movie stars' caricatures... Of course, I will not leave her behind. :-)

Story 23

Can you imagine receiving a project that cost you to keep doing some things over and over again...? Doing them is not difficult at all, but the hardship is having to re-do the same things frequently, and they seem no ending....

Just like that! Slowly you begin to feel tired and frustrated! Deep down you also feel that you are similar to an old rusty machine - hard to move on and go on...; and you start to put blame on other people around you, yet never seeking for God's help.

All these bad experiences happened to me this year around July for a month. Eventually, I went for church counseling, and amazingly it turned out well!

Of course, by God grace, this project is over, with a happy ending...

Cartoons 6, 7, 8 & 9

Today is my happy day because I have spent 2 hours drawing cartoons with my friend... and the result is looking good!

Another happy thing is that - I also discover that the drawing style of my “long story manga”, which I do it at home, is also improving, such as: the lines are seen more free and confident (perhaps because recently I have spent a lot of time reading manga, so subconsciously I am being affected by the manga technique!).

What can I say? Only - “Praise The Lord!”

I am really excited when I work on this new “Just For Fun!” series.

Deep down I know that this idea is not new at all, and I also believe that some people can even do better than me..., but no matter how, I do enjoy working on it and hope that it can bring much joy and excitement to people. :-)

By the way, I may also have the chance to exhibit the works in gallery in future...

Story 22

Many people do not know that I am good at catching grasshoppers.

Years ago in my primary school days, whilst I was waiting for school-bus to fetch me home after school, I spent a lot of time catching grasshoppers.

I can still remember the grasshopper's body colour is a pretty fresh light green, and length of the body is only 1cm long on average. However, there was once when I saw an approximately 13-cm long giant grasshopper (told by a school-cleaner who caught it later) appear at the entrance of the classroom, flying around and some parts of the body colour were brown! Of course I dared not catch it then – I was too afraid...

During my high school days, I had always wondered why "short" and "young" juniors like me often lost a lot of chances, such as: whilst I was having American football game with my neighbourhood friends, I was always chosen to be a defender but in fact I was actually qualified to be a 'quarter-back'.  Yet the funny thing was that - for those taller seniors, they might think they were qualified to be a 'quarter back' but in fact they were not! They could not make quick decisions and their long-pass "sucks!"  Why did things always happen that way???

That was a time when I chose not to follow God's will and tried to fix life on my own. Deep down I believed that God was the only one who felt sad at that time... because He had greater blessings for me but I had no guts to receive them.
